We are breeders of premium warmblood foals intended to make top-quality competition horses and ponies of the future. Our breeding formula combines proven bloodlines with past competition results to produce foals with the ultimate potential.

We are a home-based stud near Newark in rural Nottinghamshire. We aim to make a small but significant contribution to British breeding by offering quality youngstock for sale to competition and pleasure homes. Our current young stock and horses for sale include Grafenstolz, Parco, Roulette, Jazz, Sixtus and Stonegrove Ace bloodlines.

We use semen from elite competition stallions worldwide, including Olympians, grade A showjumpers, Grand Prix dressage stallions, Advanced eventers and stallions ranked within the top 100 in the WBFSH listings.
Our foals are well handled from birth and are reared in a one-to-one, family environment. With proven competition pedigrees and experienced handling from the start, they have the potential to compete at any level.

NEWS 1st Jan 2015

Happy new year to all our friends, followers, owners and future customers! Here is a brief update of 2014 at our yard...well 2014 he been a busy year, with Lucy slightly neglecting some of her equestrian duties to represent Great Britain in her age group for sprint duathlon (Horst, Holland) - where she was delighted with 9th place and Middle distance triathlon (Paguera, Mallorca) 18th place. She also completed her first two Iron-distajce triathlons (2.4 mile swim, 112 m bike, 26 mile run) and completely surprised herself getting bronze medals in the British Sprint team triathon relay championships and the British Cross sprint duathlon champs!

We have found new homes for a few of our broodmares including Belle, Libby and Plassey, who we hope are all enjoying their new lives with their new owners! Jack, our new forest pony has now moved on to a new home with triplet girls to keep him entertained.. We are currently riding and working on Saxy Casino Dancer, Halona Moki, Saxon and Bambi, who are all for sale and are in various stages of their education. Saxy Royal Flush has been backed and is in foal to Saxon (our PBA pony stallion) for 2015. Saxy Autograf has also been lightly backed and turned away until ready for more serious work. Saxy Where's My Taxi? and Saxy Park Lane are both maturing well and we are sure they are going to grow into fabulous horses.  Lucy's main aim for 2015 is to work with the young horses that we have and improve their ridden work and to probably put Scorpio Pixie Vale (our Prix St Georges dressage mare) in foal to a Stallion Company stallion. We are very excited to meet and find out what Saxon's first foal looks like later in the year!
Lucy has also started writing a blog - which includes snippets from the daily life of the Saxelbys and includes plenty of stories about horses, breeding, triathlon, dogs and living in a family that has lots of children! You can read it HERE (and if you enjoy it please sign up to receive email notifications afterwards, as this will alert you to any of my new posts.
