Parco is one of the best descendents of Darco.
He has produced such spectacular results
in the world’s most important and influential
competitions, undoubtedly due to his concentrated
mix of superior jumping blood.
Previously ridden by Ludo Philipaerts, who
also campaigned Darco, this stallion is one
of the most exciting horses that the UK has
had to offer for many years and is now owned
by (and standing for stud with) The Stallion company.
Parco was Belgian Champion Show Jumping with
Ludo at eight years old, and number nine
in the listings of best jumpers worldwide
as a nine year old. Parco’s exciting
career in equestrian sport includes a 4th at the Olympics, 4th Europeans (two appearances), 7th World cup final (4 appearances) 9th World Equestrian Games.
Parco’s sire, Darco is the world’s
number one jumping stallion, a legendary
international show jumping winner, who won
many World Cup Grand Prix competitions and
ended 7th at Barcelona Olympic Games.
Parco is approved for the following studbooks:
- SBS, KWPN, Sweden, BWP, SF, Selle Italiano,
ISH and SHB (GB).
His offspring are usually in the top rankings
in foal-shows, loose jumping competitions
and auctions. More than 50 of Parco’s
children feature in the FEI international
listings. Some of his most successful offspring
to date include - Bufero van het Panishof
(Dirk Demeersmen) WEG 2010 and Angel v/d
Hoendrik, 4 YO Champion of Belgium in 2004.
He also has plenty of approved stallion sons
who are very successful in their own right.
Parco only started his Belgium breeding career
in 2000 (at 8 years old). His eldest children are now starting to be
seen competing in International Grand Prix
classes. From his first crop of foals he
produced a 2010 World Equestrian Games competitor!
His stud fee for 2012 is a fantastic 1200
euro – which is a brilliant price considering
this stallion’s outstanding performance
history and proven offspring.
