Tess was bred by the famous Fleetwater Trakehner
stud and was sold as a 3 year old for the
top price at the first ever Addington high
performance sale.
Tess has 81 British dressage points and has
competed up to medium level. She has beautiful
paces and can perform half pass and flying
changes. She jumps like a stag and has incredible
scope and talent, like her father.
Her dam, Verushka (sister to Fleetwater Opposition),
was the winner of her grading in 1981 and
the daughter of Opushka (mother of Fleetwater
Opposition) - Fleetwater's foundation
Trakehner mare. Opushka was the first
elite graded trakehner mare in Great Britain
and was bred at the Kirov Stud in Russia.
Her grand dam, Corinna, was born at the main
Trakehnen stud and Corinna's daughter,
Corrida founded the extremely important "C"
line in the German stud book. Several of the horses in Opushka's close
pedigree have been responsible for producing
Olympic medal winners.
Fleetwater Opposition is Vitesse's uncle.
He is currently 7th in the WBFSH eventing
rankings (this is based on the eventing success
of his progeny). We have put her in foal
for 2011 to his grade A show jumping son,
Utopian Opposition. By line breeding back
to Opushka, we hope to create a talented
foal for eventing or showjumping.

Tess was sired by the fabulous Pascal - Pascal is from some of the most successful bloodlines in the Trakehner breed. His sire,
Matador, is by the world famous Donauwind,
sire of many top level dressage and breeding
horses, including Dr Reiner Klimke's
Fabian and Olympic Gold Medallist Abdullah.
His dam, Pr St Peggi, is descended from the
Pelargonie family which originated in the
main stud of Trakehnen. Other stallions from
this line include Grand Prix horses Peron
and Partout. One of Pascal's full sisters,
Pedola was German National Champion Broodmare
and mother of Partout.  |

Tess gave birth (on 29/05/11) to a colt foal by UTOPIAN OPPOSITION (grade A showjumping and eventing
son of FLEETWATER OPPOSITION). We are extremely
exciting about this foal as we have line-bred
back to Opushka - the Fleetwater stud's
foundation broodmare, who was responsible
for many fabulous competition horses.

Russian Roulette (Roulette x Pascal) as a
foal
NEWS! Tess gave birth to a fabulous
black colt by Utopian Opposition on 29/05/11.
We have called him SAXY OPTIMIST (for sale).
